Nights Like These - The Only Clown I'm Down With is Gacy

So yea I know metalcore is a dirty word these days but this band was doing their thing before it was dirty to do so. Anyways fuck off trendy haters, this shit is sick. This is Nights Like These Demo Ep, which personally I think is their best material. Check this band out if you like Converge, snake eye picking, chugga chugga's and some techy shit.

Shit ton of shit mega post

Holy smokes... it's been almost 2 months since I last updated! Sorry about that my loyal minions. Here's a mega post for all you filthy heathens. All essential listens for your obscure skulls.

Benümb - By Means of Upheaval

22 songs of grind as fuck rage. Grind for the punks and metal heads. They have that west coast Cali power violence vibe going on a bit too.

Receive the album

Destroy - Discography

I used to listen to this album all the time in like 2006, great crust grind shit from the late 80's - early 90's. These guys are legendary. The good Felix Havoc was in this band before Code 13 and before starting Havoc Records. This is a collection of all their releases aside from their demo if I'm not mistaken. I suggest all you crusties, grinders, and even death metal fans buy this album, it's worth the money; the booklet that comes with the CD has the lyrics to all 48 songs which are killer.

Receive your goodies

Floor - s/t

So Floor is the precursor to the now semi-popular band Torche. A lot of people like Torche, but you know, Floor fucking destroys anything Torche does. Anyways, Floor could be described as a sludge or doom band with pop sensibilities. They are super heavy but the clean vocals make it so even a contemporary music fan could possibly enjoy it. Anyways this is one of my favorite albums of all time. Get it.

GET IT GET IT GET IT

Severed Head of State - No Love Lost

Severed Head of State is killer. This release has three original songs and a cover of CoC's "Prayer". They play hardcore/crustcore. This album is dreary as fuck and really brutal. Good listen.

I have a present for you

Painkiller - Guts of a Virgin/Buried Dreams

Painkiller is another one of John Zorn's bands. It's like if Naked City was even crazier if you can even comprehend that... It's like all the most maniacal parts of Torture Garden. Some tracks are micro songs, some are like 8 minutes. Sometimes it drones out, sometimes it blasts. All you need to know is jibberish, bass, saxaphone, blasts, and feed back are highly apparent here. Also, Mick Harris of Napalm Death fame does drums and some vocals on this release. That should be enough to get you interested.

Download me, I demand you

Suppression - Release the Piranha

Suppression are a noisey 2-man usually power violence-ish band. On this release they play more in the vein of noise rock with hardcore shit. Really groovin, really noisy, and really fun. I got this album from Robotic Empire but I think you can get it from Relapse too, I suggest you purchase it.

Downlowd

Wadge - Road to Hana

Wadge is Canada's answer to Agoraphobic Nosebleed. They aren't a total rip off of them and I think they've actually both been around for the same amount of time. I originally heard Wadge on a comp called "Drum Machine Madness" and didn't think much of them honestly... But once I heard this album I was pretty impressed. It's good stuff and I can't even really call it cyber-grind, its more like hardcore/crustgrind with a drum machine. It's really enjoyable stuff. Definitely get this if you are a fan of grind, crust, sludge, or industrial.

The last of the mohicans

Well that's it for the mega post. Fuck off.

The Law - Distorted Anthems from the Suburbs

This is a request. Sounds like some pretty solid thrash to me. The riffs sort of reminds me of me of Sepultura with some solid classic metal parts, and the vocals kind of remind me of Dio if he was doing thrash. haha The lyrics are hilarious too.

Spoonful of Vicodin

I like this band a lot. I got some tape of theirs a long ass time ago and it's awesome. I wanted to listen to it but realized I didn't have a fucking tape player! First I just listened to their tracks from "This Comp Kills Fascists" but that became unsatisfying... So the Soulseek search began... This is the songs I came up with. Some from their Demo, and some from something titled "Spoonful of Destrux". Demo sounds good, Destrux sounds like fucking shit quality wise. Anyways check em out. Good powerviolence grind stuff.

Spoonful of download

Mind of Asian - Chinmoku No Kiri No Naka

Mind of Asian is like some Power Violence Grindy hardcore stuff. It's fast you get the picture. this is a request. It's good, all girls I think. Apparently this was put out by Relapse Records in US so you know it's big pimpin.

Doomtree - Falsehopes

FIRST HIP HOP POST YAH

Doomtree is a really sweet Hip Hop collective type thing. They take a bunch of artists from the Minneapolis area and they get together and make some sick alternative hip hop/rap. The thing that sets them apart is they got like a Punk attitude so it makes me even more hella down with them. YEA. I really like the songs by Dessa, she's seriously like the best female emcee on the planet (Not to mention, she's a pretty attractive lady haha). If anyone likes this stuff I can upload the Dessa's False Hopes EP along with Cecil Otter's False Hopes EP. Both are members of Doomtree collective and for some reason there is like 5 albums called False Hopes.. Actually, I just looked on the Doomtree website and there are 14, count em, 14 False Hopes albums lmfao.

From Last Fm:
"Members of Doomtree bring various bases of knowledge and musical backgrounds together to create honest and original music. Their main influence is punk and their lyrics are frequently introspective and self-degrading. They often do shows with fellow Minnesota hip-hop label Rhymesayers Entertainment. Emcees perform solo or with one another, each contributing a different approach to their music."

Doomtree - False Hopes

2. Knives On Fire
3. Traveling Dunk Tank

Tower of Rome / Gun Kata Split

First and foremost I must say these two bands are what makes (made? I think ToR broke up...) the Midwest fucking disturbingly awesome. This split is like the most intense 12 minutes of screeching noise as fuck grind punk... Dig it. OH yea, Hewhocorrupts Inc. is the best shit ever.

Gun kata(From their myspizz):
"In late 2003, four gentlemen met in the basement of John Mendola (of Hewhocorrupts) to form Gun Kata. Their music is, first and foremost, the product of Dean Costello. Dean’s contorted guitar riffs provide the blueprint for the delirium. Dean isn’t afraid to tell you he enjoys The Smiths and The Deftones, but you would never know it listening to him play, err…shred. Enter, the aforementioned, Mr. John Mendola who insists that drum triggers are lame and he would never use them, but likes the way they sound anyway. His pummeling rhythms are a thunderous counterpart to Dean’s menacingly disorienting guitar. Bassist, Eugene Marino (of Friel) has got the edge on most. His playing is a perfect compliment to the fracas; putting forth a low-end that Jimmy Bain would be proud of. Finally, Toney Vast-Binder (of 7000 Dying Rats) can scream, sputter and moan with the best of them. He can’t, however, make any promises that he won’t spill his margarita on your Ozzfest t-shirt. Gun Kata has recently recorded five songs for a new release available sometime, somewhere."

Tower of Rome (I'm not gonna use their myspace description because uh there isn't one soooo I'll just be genuine):
Tower of Rome are cool. They describe their sound as california 90's meets the midwest '06 taking influence from hardcore, grind, and power violence. They are maniacs. That's all I have to say.

1 Tower Of Rome Abbreviating Words Can Be Time Efficient For Example I'm Going To Die Tomorrow By "Leath Injectch"
2 Tower Of Rome Backwards Middle Fingers To Madison Dance Parties
3 Tower Of Rome Rewriting The Platline Of A B-Grade Slasher Film
4 Tower Of Rome I Want A Phone Company That Will Murder My Boss
5 Tower Of Rome Vulgar Display Of Tower
6 Tower Of Rome We Have Been Hired To Knock Your Teeth Crooked That Is Unless They Already Are Crooked Which In That Case We Will Knock Them Straight
7 Gun Kata Frank Talks About A Dead Man
8 Gun Kata Pricks
9 Gun Kata Johnny Mendola's A Big Deal These Days
10 Gun Kata The Jealous Cryptozoologist
11 Gun Kata Siafu
12 Gun Kata We Weren't Joking, He Really Is A Big Deal
13 Gun Kata Custom Van Fantasy Painting

(Gun Kata comes first in the files, but whatever)

GOATKILL

Goatkill is this wild midi-grind band from Michigan. The thing that makes them particularly special in my eyes is that they take the chugging delight of bands like Ion Dissonance and other such baloney and add insane Agoraphobic Nosebleed speed double kicks with weird midi-sounds. So you get the best of both worlds. Midi-noise and chugging fun times. Not to mention the awesome samples. They even do a King of The Hill sample. It delivers lulz. Oh, and their song G(oat)-Unit is my shit. (A song talking shit about G-unit fans who act gangster as fuck even though they live in the suburbs and have no idea what really drives people to true gangsta mentality. Plenty of those douche bags in Michigan... plenty.)

Sadly, Goatkill is pretty much inactive, and their newer stuff kind of blows a profuse amount of goat ass. (pun intended) Also, this band isn't supposed to be taken 100% seriously. They just exist to be br00tal.

Magrudergrind/Godstomper split

Magrudergrind is D.C. fastcore. And they fucking pulverize. They utilize elements of grind/thrash/powerviolence and everything under the fast spectrum. These guys are just unstopable. I'd say this stuff is better than their "Don't Support Humanitarian Aid Led By the Church" Lp. Seems their split material always is. Anyways, sick brutal fast grind for the punx. GET IT

Godstomper hmmm. I'm not sure what to think of these guys... They are grimy, distorted, ugly, fastcore with some groovy parts. Pretty damn good. Pretty fucking brutal. Bass heavy as fuck, pretty power violence. Very Gruff vocals. Only problem; waaay to short. They only provide 2 songs while Magrudergrind have 4.

This album was put out by To Live A Lie records. Check them out, they have lots of really cool stuff!

1- Godstomper - Family Crisis
2- Godstomper - Negative Impact
3- Magrudergrind - End Of Season Sale At The Cerebral Department
4- Magrudergrind - I'd Like A Refund Or Expect Arson Against Your Place
5- Magrudergrind - Mr. Arnold Palmer? Nice Meal For Jeffrey Dahmer
6- Magrudergrind - My Inner Self Is Telling Me That Something In This Room Is At Its Unintelligent High Point.
7- Magrudergrind - Spicy Delight

No Commercial Value

No Commercial Value is the pre-cursor of Choking Victim and Leftover Crack. The quality of the release is kind of shitty. I think it came out in like 1993. You can definately hear the Crack Rock Steady sound developing. (In the song "The Choice is Yours" they even use some lyrics from the Choking V song "Crack Rock Steady".) Some chick does the vocals and Stza does backing vocals. Seriously, it's not that good but if you are a CRS7 enthusiast (like I am) then you should get it.

FILTH!

If you don't like Filth you suck. Seriously. I love this band. They are from the Bay Area. Everyone and their brother has heard bay area thrash, well these mo-fo's helped pioneer the Bay Area hardcore sound between 89 - 94 or something like that. Anyways, good crustcore. Anti-cop, anti-skin head, pro-scarification, and drug use. This album is my fuckin high school years all in a neat package.

Agoraphobic Nosebleed/Insect Warfare Split

Neither of these bands need introductions. They are kings in the grind scene. And this album is some of both bands sickest works. Insect Warfare provides the typical insane noised out speed grind, very good, very quick. Agoraphobic Nosebleed pumps out a 4 indescribable tracks. Their sound goes from power violence, to grind, to noise, and even some stoner metal on one track! WTF? It's obvious that Randall has mastered the art of MIDI controlling because the drums are off the hook and sounding sicker than ever. It makes me very excited for their next full length, Agorapocalypse.

Bodies in the Gears of the Apparatus - Symian Hybrid Prototype

Bodies in the Gears of the Apparatus, or BITGOTA as known by fans, was a sick Technical Death Grind band from Florida. They aren't together any more but they are ill none the less. This is their only full length. They did a split with Despised Icon which is pretty sick and there might be a 7 inch floating around somewhere, if so I haven't heard it. Anyways this album was mastered by Scott Hull of Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Pig Destroyer fame so you know it's killer. Members went on to perform in Khann and Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky.

Bucket Full of Teeth - I,II, III

Bucket Full of Teeth was a weird noisey power violence screamo hardcore band. They were awesome, this was their first three 7" inches I think. They have members that are in Ampere, Wolves, and Transistor Transistor.

From Last FM:
"Formed in Early 2001 by Brad Wallace and Will Killingsworth, both former members of Orchid, Bucket Full of Teeth was conceived as a friendly venture in playing generic powerviolence but instantaneosly evolved into much more. The band quickly become more interested in pushing conventions of heavy music and punk rock, and in 2002 released 3 7”s simultaneously as a first attempt at personal experimentation and musical destruction."

Capsule - Blue

Great fucking album by a great band. A three piece (with their sound it's hard to believe it's just three dudes...) group with two ex-members of Tyranny of Shaw. Uh, these guys are fucking wicked. Kind of screamo, off the wall, hardcore, artsy (god I hate that word, but I lack a better description) insanity. Its good stuff. I'll let this one speak for itself. Oh and fun fact, apparently their name is derived from Bulma's families company called Capsule Corp. from Dragon Ball. That just makes them 10x as cool.
