Demoniacal Genuflection - The Ministers of Lamentation [2010]

Demoniacal Genuflection is brutal grinding, blackened, death metal. Basically they take everything rad about extreme metal and put it all together. This shit is satanic to the core and vicious as fuck. I have a few qualms with inconsistent mixing on a couple songs, but they did self release it for free, so whatever. It sounds rad. Dobber of Insect Warfare does drums (and a bit of synth) in this band!

Morgue - Eroded Thoughts

So, apparently Morgue is one of those gems that slips away from history... Well luckily, I am a gem finder. I find the gems, forgotten by society and it's many deviant subcultures. Anyways, MORGUE, they were a Death Metal (old school by today's standards) in the early 90's and they only released this cult classic along with 2 demos. They play in a vein similar to early Gorguts and with some doomy undertones. Either way, this stuff slays. It's pretty straight forward, but that's how I like it!

Benediction - Transcend the Rubicon [1993]

So, Benediction is fucking sick. They have been around for ages. They play old school death metal with hits of grind thrown in just for kicks. They have a style similar to Bolt Thrower (so I'm told), and they slay pretty hard. Barney Greenway did vocals on their first album (I think). Anyways, this is supposed to be their best album so get into it!

Overy Rot - Harvesting Ovum

Ovary Rot is a fresh as fuck 2-man Goregrind unit from Sweden. 25 bursts of raw grooving death/grind accompanied by some sick gurgle vocals with minimal use of pitch shifting. As far as I know this is their first release. Get into it. Go show them some love at their myspace: http://www.myspace.com/ovaryrotgore

ALIEN CRUCIFXION - Relics of A Dark Star

Alien Crucifixion are sick UFO oriented blackened death grind from Roswell, New Mexico. They recorded this album in 2000, it was never released. They were abducted by aliens and didn't return to earth until 2006. They released Relics of A Dark Star for digital purchase through Itunes and Amazon. This is it. AND IT FUCKING RIPS DICKS OFF.

Cordectomy Demo 09

So here's something new... Cordectomy is Slam-death, Brutal-death, or whatever the fuck you want to call it. Anyways, I'm usually not too into stuff like that, but this stuff is actually pretty awesome. It has some tendencies I don't usually see in stuff like this; like some sludge riffs and insane blast beats. It's a one man thing too btw, basement-core ftw. Check it out!

GOATKILL

Goatkill is this wild midi-grind band from Michigan. The thing that makes them particularly special in my eyes is that they take the chugging delight of bands like Ion Dissonance and other such baloney and add insane Agoraphobic Nosebleed speed double kicks with weird midi-sounds. So you get the best of both worlds. Midi-noise and chugging fun times. Not to mention the awesome samples. They even do a King of The Hill sample. It delivers lulz. Oh, and their song G(oat)-Unit is my shit. (A song talking shit about G-unit fans who act gangster as fuck even though they live in the suburbs and have no idea what really drives people to true gangsta mentality. Plenty of those douche bags in Michigan... plenty.)

Sadly, Goatkill is pretty much inactive, and their newer stuff kind of blows a profuse amount of goat ass. (pun intended) Also, this band isn't supposed to be taken 100% seriously. They just exist to be br00tal.

Bodies in the Gears of the Apparatus - Symian Hybrid Prototype

Bodies in the Gears of the Apparatus, or BITGOTA as known by fans, was a sick Technical Death Grind band from Florida. They aren't together any more but they are ill none the less. This is their only full length. They did a split with Despised Icon which is pretty sick and there might be a 7 inch floating around somewhere, if so I haven't heard it. Anyways this album was mastered by Scott Hull of Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Pig Destroyer fame so you know it's killer. Members went on to perform in Khann and Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky.

Bucket Full of Teeth - I,II, III

Bucket Full of Teeth was a weird noisey power violence screamo hardcore band. They were awesome, this was their first three 7" inches I think. They have members that are in Ampere, Wolves, and Transistor Transistor.

From Last FM:
"Formed in Early 2001 by Brad Wallace and Will Killingsworth, both former members of Orchid, Bucket Full of Teeth was conceived as a friendly venture in playing generic powerviolence but instantaneosly evolved into much more. The band quickly become more interested in pushing conventions of heavy music and punk rock, and in 2002 released 3 7”s simultaneously as a first attempt at personal experimentation and musical destruction."

IAO Music in Sacred Light

So... maybe you have heard of this guy called John Zorn... He's been around forever and he is what I'd consider a master of his art. IAO is the most prolific of his works in my opinion. This stuff is tranced out mindfuck stuff. Not like trance as in dance music, I'm talking like meditative ritual worship type of music. It's very good, there are some ambient parts, some female choir chanting, and there's even a really fast song verging on death metal. Avantgarde to say the least...
Here's what wikipedia say's about the album:
IAO (subtitled Music in Sacred Light) is an album by John Zorn inspired in part by the Beast and the number 666: the Kabbalistic identity of IAO, which are the initials of Isis, Apophis and Osiris, used as a magical formula in the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

Pretty intense album, I suggest all fans of Avantgarde MUSIC check it out.
